Bar Spoon
The twist lets the shaft rotate between your fingers so the bowl travels around the inside wall of the glass rather than churning through the middle — which is precisely what keeps a stirred drink clear rather than agitated. It is also your measure for anything a recipe specifies in barspoons, such as the crème de violette in an Aviation, where the difference between a barspoon and a free pour is the difference between a cocktail and a bar of soap.
A bar spoon is two tools: a stirring instrument and a unit of measure.
